USE PUBLIC COMPUTER

Many people who can’t necessarily afford to purchase a computer or mobile device opt to use public access computers. Most of these computers are readily available as long as you register with the current facility such as the Chicago Public Library. We use these computers with little regard for security even though the provide full disclosure statements that indicate otherwise.

We log into our email accounts, social media accounts and many other sites that require usernames and passwords. These sites provide SSL and 128 bit encryption which gives the false impression that your information is safe. They are for the most part unless you are using public computers.

Many public computers try to clean your browser section, clear history and etc but with today’s technology and fat fingers that most computer user have (even savvy computer user) press keys that cause us to lose data, or better yet the power goes out or we forget to charge the battery. So computer manufactures and software makers (such as myself) try hard to make these device user friendly and fool proof.

We put in auto save and caching (saving data in timed interval) data to help make this device fool proof so use public computer and electronic devices with cause.

I access a public computer and the previous user’s time must have run out. I went to type a paper using the available word processor and their paper was available. So I type the following message in word as a test below..
