The Model of Me

At a transitional event for McDonald’s Corporation Pat Flynn, he gave a speech that said he was “…reinventing himself…”

This was a begin for new epic adventure in my life. An adventure none the less that led me along similar paths that included Business Model You.  If you have read this You should. It can help you “reinvent yourself” as mention on GoodReads too.

But here’s just a few expectation I recalled from my reading.

Who What When Where How...

Identity yourself with valid forms of government issued picture identification.

You should share as many facts about yourself and the purpose for contact or connecting with them.

State any mutual exchange of data during the meeting is always confidential.

State any documented data changes or disclosure will require prior consent, and

State if any further contact or interaction will be required with details and prior approval.

I think its simple enough for now.

How could this help you?

What school DO TEACH!

What school DO TEACH!

Today’s impression comes from a YouTube video entitle “What Most School Don’t Teach”… This video enlist the help of some well respected individual in the Technology Fields  and other fields. Notably, Bill Gates of Microsoft and Mark Zuckerburg to name a couple. This video insisted that everyone should be taught to programming because it teaches individuals critical thinking and analytical skills needs to accomplish whatever.

Although I’m a Software Engineer with a undergrad BS in Computer Science, MS in Business Information Technology, and merit badges in software development, I know that our schools do teach us how to program everyday. In fact, we all have the wrong misconception when we speak about of personal computers, PC, MAC or whatever we see as electronic with keyboard, mouse, touch pad or screen, processor, memory and so, and what it means to program.

My argument is that we are taught to program from the time we are born. We wakeup, brush our teeth, eat, attend school or work, socialize and sleep. In fact, the modern day PC is much like our brain and the body. Think about this for a second. Programming is set of commands or statements sent to an interpreter. The interpreter executes these statements in some order and cause other parts of the PC (body)  to take action. school

You see our brain is the most advanced PC known to us and we have being programming for a long time. Starting with listen, speaking, reading and writing. And the brain has many languages it has and can interpret, English, Spanish, Korean, French, Sign and so on. And at its most basic function is analytical and critical thinking.

If I had time I would create a video, show the evolution of humanity or better yet the evolution of the true personal computer. But as it is, no job, no money, no video… Thanks public library for share your PC with me 😉

What’s your thoughts?
